Are nudibranchs dangerous?

Nudibranchs do not pose a major threat to humans, although it is best to avoid touching them as anyone who does might receive a sting.  This is because the nudibranch can assimilate the stinging cells of its prey into its own skin and that means that if anyone touches it they will receive a nasty surprise, such as a Portuguese man-of-war type of sting.
