How do humans attract sharks?

Most people believe that the best way to attract a shark is by putting blood in the water, but this doesn’t actually work very well.  The best way to attract a shark is by emitting a low-frequency sound in the water, which mimics the sounds made by a struggling fish, potential prey for the shark.  These sounds travel far and fast through the water.
