Because wetsuits are made from different materials and used for a variety of dive types, thickness varies. However, for a wetsuit made from glass-blown Neoprene to dive walls and caves, as well as open water temperatures ranging between 40 and 60 degrees, you would expect to find thickness of 3/16 of an inch. For colder water, a wetsuit should be 1/4-inch thick.
