Is it safe to dive while taking antibiotics?

Divers should first consider why they are taking the antibiotics as this often will affect whether or not they should dive. In general, divers should not be diving with conditions such as chest infections or wound infections as the problem may become worse. Some antibiotics can cause diarrhea which can lead to disruption of diving and more importantly dehydration.  Please examine your situation carefully before you take the plunge while on antibiotics.
