Wetsuits are constructed from a variety of materials such as nylon, Lycra, and even titanium-based fabrics but the one material that has proven most efficient is glass-blown Neoprene. For more than 20 years, Neoprene has been the material of choice. Branded as Rubatex G231, this type of Neoprene has been used for making wetsuits for well over 20 years. Wetsuits that are made of this material come in thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 9mm, but they are also lightweight, comfortable, and affordable.
