What Scripps Institute event did lifeguard Bev Morgan and Los Angeles Sports Director Al Tillman attend in 1953?

The two men were sent by Los Angeles County to hear the legendary Connie Limbaugh speak, a person fondly referred to as the “Greatest Diver in History.”  While the course was casual, it covered the gamut of scuba diving information including surfing, first aid, scuba diving, snorkeling, and more.
