Why do we have marine reserves? How do they help?

Marine reserves contribute a lot to marine conservation and have a variety of functions, including protecting a unique and special area, protecting scientific experiments, filtering out those who would take from the environment from those who simply want to enjoy it, giving people easy access to marine reserve environments, promoting marine education, helping underwater photographers, and helping to rebuild the marine community structure.
