Why is marine conservation so important?

Marine conservation is crucial in order to preserve and protect marine biodiversity which is a part of the greater biodiversity of the earth and when marine species become endangered, then all other life forms that depend on them begin to suffer.  Humans and many other animals rely on the oceans for food and some animals depend solely on the bounty of the sea for sustenance.
