Absolutely, and if you want to capture the most vibrant photographs while diving, it would be worthwhile making an initial investment on a high quality camera that would provide you with years of enjoyment.  Some of the best cameras for underwater photography are made by Canon, Pentax, Olympus, Nikon, Sony, and Fuji.
