This year, the Photo Fest takes place from Saturday, May 9 and comes to a conclusion on Friday, May 15.
Cathy Church’s Underwater Photo Fest 2015 – Where
This unique event is once again being held at the Sunset House Hotel, located in George Town on Grand Cayman. Your stay at Sunset House, a hotel run by divers for divers, is included as part of the underwater photo fest package. The hotel features on-site access to snorkeling and diving, plus pools, a Jacuzzi, and an onsite bar and restaurant.

Upon arrival at Sunset House Hotel, you’ll be welcomed with a cocktail party where you can meet and greet your fellow participants.
For 2015, the photo fest features classes with Cathy Church and her staff, with a focus on compact digital cameras, SLR cameras, and video cameras. Photo critiques, composition, creative lighting, and photo & video editing classes are all part of the fun.
There are separate photo contests for photographers of every level. There’s even a special category where the worst photo wins! There’s no shortage of fascinating subjects to photograph: You’ll find a little wreck, a nine-foot tall bronze mermaid, loads of fish, and tons of macro life to fill up your lens.
Participants are treated to boat dives with multiple tanks to allow for extra bottom time, plus informative lectures. You’ll get the opportunity to meet, dive with, and learn from Cathy Church, a legendary underwater photographer and teacher with more than 49 years experience. Beginning photographers to advanced – all are welcome to learn and have fun while enjoying a memorable vacation.
Contests and socializing play a starring role, with giveaways from Scubapro, Sea and Sea, Ultralighty, Olympus, and more, including a return trip to Sunset House.
