As one of the biggest scuba shows in Asia, the DRT Show Shanghai promises to be a fun, educational experience designed for anyone with an interest in diving. Whether you’re a seasoned expert, a total beginner, or are just now thinking about trying scuba, come on down and see what’s happening.
Representatives from several top scuba gear manufacturers will be on hand with new equipment for you to see and try, plus you’ll get the opportunity to hear from some of the biggest names in scuba including top underwater photographers, wreck experts, and others.
Check out the underwater photo gallery, take part in a freediving seminar, and take a little time to see what diving was like way back in the good old days! DRT’s scuba museum is one of the best there is. Don’t forget to bring the kids. A special kids’ education zone gives the junior members of your party an insider’s look at marine life while introducing them to the sport of scuba diving.
Representatives from tourism boards, dive resorts, water sports equipment manufacturers, marine conservation groups, and diving organizations will be on hand to provide you with helpful information. There are numerous hotels to choose from within just a short distance of the Shanghai East Asia Exhibition Centre, not to mention plenty of fantastic restaurants offering food of every kind imaginable.
While in Shanghai, be sure to take in some of the world’s most famous landmarks. There are so many fantastic points of interest that you might find yourself signing up for a tour package so as not to miss any of the highlights. Don’t miss a trip to the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower, which is the world’s sixth tallest and which offers an incredible observation deck, and be sure to visit the Bund International Architecture Exhibition, which is a marvelous place for photos, particularly at night. Stretch your legs with a walk along the riverside promenade, or take a boat ride on the Huangpu River. Last but not least, be sure to take in a museum or two. There are several to choose from, each offering interesting perspective on China’s history and culture.
