When was the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI) founded?

The Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI) was founded in 1965 by John Cronin and Ralph Ericson.  Today, PADI certifications are considered the primary choice for people needing scuba diving certifications on all levels.
